As a platinum sponsor of Culturama, Cable & Wireless has put its money where its commitment is. Although company officials have yet to disclose the size of their donations, C&W had made a major financial gift to the annual celebration of local arts and entertainment.
Claudette Walwyn, Nevis marketing coordinator for the telecommunications giant, spoke recently at Mansell’s Last Stop, as she handed out checks to several organizations that will participate in Culturama.
She said C&W remains committed to supporting communities throughout their sphere of business, and labeled the Culturama gifts as just a small way of thanking customers and honoring the region.
Besides a major check for the Culturama organizers, other largess dispensed on behalf of C&W by Walwyn included money for the Admirals Ball of the Dynamic Social Club, and from Whence We Came, sponsored by the Bath United Club.
“It is heartening to see the level of commitment to making this year’s celebration truly memorable,” Walwyn said.
At Culturama, C&W will also unveil what they are billing as the largest jouvert troupe ever.
