Accused Child Sex Predator Caught; May Have Similar Past

Basseterre, St. Kitts-Greg Boyden  37 a national of Jamaica, has been charged with indecent assault and has been identified as the child sex predator that was tormenting boys who were in the vicinity or attending the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School at Pond Extension.

Information reaching the Observer indicated that police arrested Boyden last weekend on charges of indecent assault earlier this week.

A family friend of one of the individuals who claimed he narrowly escaped the suspect’s, grasp gave an account of one of the incidents, stating the man was claiming to have heavy bags and needed help in an alleged attempt to lure boys along the dirt path behind the Seven Day Adventist Primary School.

“He said the man was trying to hold on him and he said he was just trying to measure his waist to see if he have any pants in one of the bags that can fit him but he said the man was carrying him further up the dirt path so he just turned and ran away,” the family friend said.

The friend indicated that when the matter was reported to the police the responding officer stated that they had gotten previous reports of a predator of similar description and that “they are trying to do something about it.”

Information reaching this newspaper indicates that a person carrying the same name was arrested  in similar incidents in  New York .

In one such article by the New York Daily News headlined ‘Man accused of groping 3 boys in the Bronx nabbed by cops’ charged that Boyden, “allegedly preyed on the boys in Seton Falls Park in Edenwald between August and this month.” (October 2015).

The article added that the Jamaican was arrested after investigations by the Bronx Child Special Victims Unit and “charged with forcible touching, public lewdness, unlawful imprisonment and sex abuse.”

It also revealed that the victims were 12, 13, and 15.

“In two attacks, he offered to pay the boys to carry his bags before he groped them and in the third, he suggestively tugged on his own waistband after dragging a boy into the woods,” the article disclosed.”

The suspect was also charged with a fourth incident, when he allegedly sent a picture of his genitals to a 13-year-old boy.

Many concerned parents also questioned how someone of his reputation could get beyond immigration in St. Kitts and Nevis and also not being monitored by police.
